COMMISSIONS AND INVITATIONS
“A Dance for Argentina” Commissioned in 2002 by the Wilmington Institute Library. Premiered at gala celebrating the culture of Argentina, featuring photography from the Foto Club of Buenos Aires, and Charlton performing works by Argentine composer Ginastera, her original work, and Argentine tango. Paid for in part by grants from the DE Division of the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts.
“Franklinsanity” Commissioned in 2000 to appear at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Inspired by the life and times of Benjamin Franklin.
“Fuzzy Boundaries” Commissioned in 1995 to honor the 30th anniversary of mathematical Fuzzy Logic. Recording featured in presentations at international mathematics symposiums in Brazil (1995) and Croatia (2000).
Steinway & Sons Rhapsody Piano Charlton performed two separate concerts on touring Steinway & Sons pianos, by special invitation of Jacobs Music Company of Philadelphia: the $165,000 “Rhapsody” built to honor George Gershwin, and Vladimir Horowitz’s personal concert grand.
